Philosophy of Establishing Asuka GakuinLanguage　Institute

In Ancient times, the road to Asuka meant the road of iron, agriculture, and of religion from the Asian Continent and Korean Peninsula. That was also a road led from the ancient Silk Road route.
Now, the road of Asuka Gakuin means the road to create an Asian community of resources, technology, and economy. This road also leads to Pacific Rim and to Europe.
Asuka Gakuin is not a place only to learn Japanese language. The most important part at Asuka Gakuin is to learn Japan and positive qualities of its people, and also to teach your language and culture to Japanese.
That is not enough, though. We deeply hope that you, our students, will go international and make the world your stage together with young Japanese in the 21st century, the time full of peace, hope, and happiness.

Profile

Asuka Gakuin is a long established Japanese language institute which was started up in 1986 and has been taking a leading role in the Japanese education market. Our instructors are all qualified Japanese teachers with many years of career experience. Our school building is modern and beautiful that accommodates about 600 students.
Asuka Gakuin is located in the central area of Yokohama, a port city near Tokyo. It is just next to Hinode-cho Station, the second stop from Yokohama Station, a downtown area where many shops and restaurants open for business. So it has good access for transportation. More than that, our school is even within walking distance of Japan’s largest Chinatown.
Yokohama is one of the safe places in Japan. And compared to Tokyo, Yokohama is much easier place to live in, as house rent and other price are cheaper.
For our students’ benefit, we do assist them from every aspect to ensure that they receive full academic and personal support, including finding part-time jobs.

Environment

Marine city Yokohama is very convenient both to work in and to live in. Here in Yokohama, you can find almost everything you need; so many places to go shopping and facilities to hang out including a zoo and an aquarium. It also has an easy access to Tokyo metropolitan area. Even Tokyo Disneyland is only a day trip from here. And Yokohama is such an atmospheric city with many picturesque buildings old and new, retro-looking and modern-looking, that the night view of the city is just so beautiful. That is why so many people from the country and overseas live in Yokohama.
